Djamel Sedjati dethroned Emmanuel Wanyonyi in the 800, with Brandon Miller narrowly missing a top 3 ending a breakout year. Melissa Jefferson-Wooden dominated both sprints, running the third-fastest 200m ever, while Gabby Thomas took silver into a headwind. Post-race, Thomas doubled down on her stance that coaches banned for doping should face lifetime bans — a pointed comment given her own competitors train under Dennis Mitchell. Jakob Ingebrigtsen's 5000m win and his simmering rivalry with Kerr rounded out a jam-packed, three-day World Ultimate Championships debut in Budapest. 🎁 🎧 Get a 2nd LetsRun podcast every week + bonus content: Join the Supporters Club — https://www.letsrun.com/subscribe TIMESTAMPS 00:00 Intro and Meet Overview 04:37 Men's 1500m: Josh Kerr Completes The Slam 08:01 American Milers Battle For The Podium 12:37 Josh Kerr's Historic 2026 Season 17:34 Jakob Ingebrigtsen Vs Josh Kerr Debate 22:40 Cole Hocker's Rough Night 28:30 Men's 800m: Sedjati Upsets Wanyonyi 35:05 Brandon Miller's Breakout Season 41:44 Sponsor Break And Supporters Club 42:44 Women's 5000m: Likina Amebaw Wins 48:42 Men's 400m Hurdles: Dos Santos Sub-46 Again 51:06 Kenny Bednarek completes 100/200 sweep 54:06 Women's 200m: Jefferson-Wooden Vs Gabby Thomas 61:47 Gabby Thomas Speaks On Doping Coaches 68:15 Budapest Wrap-Up And Season Awards Contact us: Email: podcast@letsrun.com Call or text: 1-844-LETSRUN (1-844-538-7786)
