Cam Myers ran 3:28.00 to win the Paris Diamond League 1500m — a personal best by over a second, the 27th-fastest time in history, and only the second sub-3:29 ever run by a 20-year-old. The 20-year-old Australian is now faster than Jakob Ingebrigtsen was at the same age. At 19 years and 11 months, Jakob ran 3:28.68 in Monaco. At 20 years and 0 months, Cam ran 3:28.00 in Paris. The only runner in history to go faster before turning 21 is Phanuel Koech. He did it from the front. Splits of 55.6, 1:52.5, 2:47.4, 3:28.00, with each 100m segment after 800m between 13.8 and 13.4 — a sustained surge rather than a pure last-lap sprint. He soloed the second half alone, in a field that included 3:27 man Azeddine Habz, 2025 World silver medalist Jake Wightman, and Reynold Cheruiyot. Plus a preview of the Pre Classic Bowerman Mile, which is now genuinely stacked — Myers, Yared Nuguse, Habz, Laros, Cole Hocker returning from injury, both Cheruiyots, Hobbs Kessler, Simeon Birnbaum, Ethan Strand, and others. In near-perfect conditions following a week of brutal French heat, Sunday’s Paris Diamond League produced three Diamond League records.
In this episode:
– Audrey Werro came to Paris explicitly targeting the women’s 800m world record and ran a personal best of 1:53.80 — a Diamond League record, meet record, world lead, and Swiss national record. She’s now the only woman ever with multiple sub-1:54 performances (three of them, all this season). The world record is 1:53.28, set by Jarmila Kratochvílová in 1983. Werro is 0.52 back.
– Femke Broeders-Bol’s 800m transition is real. The reigning 400m hurdles world champion ran 1:55.60 in the 800m — a massive personal best — finishing second behind Werro’s Diamond League record. Her move to the 800m is no longer an experiment.
– Cam Myers ran 3:28.00 in the Paris Diamond League 1500m — a personal best by over a second, the 27th fastest time in history, and faster than Jakob Ingebrigtsen at the same age (Jakob ran 3:28.68 at 20). Myers beat a field that included 3:27 man Azeddine Habz and 2025 World Championship medalists Jake Wightman and Reynold Cheruiyot
– What it all means for the Bowerman Mile at the Prefontaine Classic
– Grant Fisher won the Paris Diamond League 5000m in 12:54.80, edging Jacob Krop (12:55.22) and Andreas Almgren (12:55.38) in a stacked field where ten athletes broke 13:00. The win also marked the fifth Diamond League victory by an American men’s mid-distance runner in 2026 — the most ever in a single year, with seven meets still remaining.
– Marco Arop dominates the men’s 800m. He confirmed after the race that he intends to go for the record this year: “Clearly I’m in shape for it”
– Trayvon Bromell beats Noah Lyles and there’s Twitter comments afterward by the Olympic champion
– Jamal Britt runs 12.89 PB in Paris — his 10th win of 2026, his 12th meet since April
– Collen Kebinatshipi runs 43.54 Diamond League record in Paris.

Jakob Ingebrigtsen is one of the most dominant runners on the planet: two Olympic golds, multiple world championship medals, and five world records by age 25. He's also coming back from February Achilles surgery and rebuilding toward a season that could include three more world record attempts.
Jessy Carveth sits down with Jakob for a candid, gear-nerd-friendly conversation about how he's actually training right now, what he really thinks of the "Norwegian Method" label, and how he uses lactate testing and elliptical work to keep VO2 high when he can't run. Jakob also breaks down one of the biggest shoe rotations in the sport, his hands-on role developing the Nike Victory spike that helped him break world records, and the new Coros watch he co-designed as part of the Fearless campaign.
And yes, we get into the Josh Kerr question. How real is the rivalry? Are they friends? Would they ever line up at a marathon together? Jakob answers all of it, plus opens up about why he sees himself debuting at 26.2 in his late 30s and what fearless actually means to him.
In this episode:

Elise and Alice get together to debrief all things Copenhagen Marathon, including the perfect conditions, incredible vibes, some fuelling trials and tribulations, and a surprise encounter with Jakob Ingebrigtsen (his little brother Kristoffer ran 2:29 by the way)! Elise gives a play-by-play breakdown of the race and how she felt finishing her 11th marathon in a city that means so much to her (with 2:53 on the clock).
Meanwhile, AB is set to line up for her debut half marathon in Brooklyn this weekend, but is probably most looking forward to the swim post-race.
Though this episode starts with a discussion on hair washing and canned foods, we promise it goes up a notch after a couple of minutes! Enjoy!

– Two-time Olympic champion Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone announced Thursday she is expecting her first child with husband Andre Levrone Jr.
– Grant Fisher will make his half marathon debut at the NYC Half in March.
– Jakob Ingebrigtsen update: In a profile with The Guardian, he said: “I’ve fed my obsession my whole life” and added that he might be “autistic” due to his all-in intensity and singular focus. Is Sam Ruthe the most exciting teenage runner in the world right now?
He may be, and when you look at the numbers, your jaw will drop. He is a New Zealand prodigy who became the youngest person in the world to break the four-minute mile barrier, at the ripe old age of 15 in March of 2025 (he ran a 3:58.35). For reference, Jakob Ingebrigtsen did it at 16.
In December of 2025, He set a New Zealand under-20 record in his 5000m debut, running 13:40.48. He also won the New Zealand senior men’s 3000m national championship with a time of 7:56.18, in the process becoming the youngest men’schampion in New Zealand athletics history.
It doesn’t stop there: he ran a 1500m PR of 3:39.17 in July, lowering his own national under-17 and under-18 1500m records. The went and smashed it again in the 800 and 1500m, with times of 1:46.81 and 3:38.62.
Recently, in January, he set an all-time world best for a 16 year old in the 1000m with a time of 2:17.82.
He’s got world best times at 1000m, national records across distances, and a sub-4-minute mile before age 16. This isn’tjust hype, it’s history. Sam Ruthe is here to break it all down.
