Dutch distance running talent Nienke Brinkman ran a 2:26:34 Marathon debut at the Valencia Marathon 2021 after conquering the trails over the previous few years. Nienke wishes to improve on her 2:26 debut at a Marathon this April (you'll find out which one soon) and we joined her for one of her first hard workouts during her altitude training camp in Kenya. The workout: 3 x 15min efforts at Threshold with 3min recovery at 2200m (7200ft) elevation. It's Nienke's first time training at altitude and it's important to factor this into the splits/paces of the workout as it's probably around 10sec/km slower than at sea level for someone like Nienke. -- -- -- Nienke Brinkman Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nienke.brinkman/ Sweat Elite Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sweatelite/ Matt Fox (Sweat Elite Videographer) Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mattinglisfox/ - -- -- Timecodes: 00:00 - Intro and warm up 04:15 - The Workout (3 x 15min) 09:15 - Post workout -- -- -- Members support our video production and it only costs as much as a Big Mac each month.
