Episode V: Olympian Courtney Frerichs and Her Journey to Success
Sit & Kick
April 24th, 2020

From University of Missouri-Kansas City to New Mexico to Rio to London and beyond!

Your hosts David Ribich and fellow Lobo Josh Kerr sit and kick back in a casual conversation with their first Olympian, Courtney Frerichs. Courtney is an NCAA record holder, American record holder, Olympian and World Runner-Up in the Steeplechase. Her list of accolades is longer than the chipotle receipt your hosts get after a workout.

Courtney takes your hosts through the honest journey of her athletic experience and the decisions that were made to help cultivate an already astounding young career. Winning her first NCAA title, making the 2016 Olympic team for the United States, signing with Nike-Bowerman and then earning silver on the world stage in London 2017.

The episode closed with a special segment unique to this episode called, "Frerichs Favorites" where Courtney had to choose just one option out of two. Courtney did it as truthful and rapidly as she could.

Some teaser questions were:

World Silver Medal or American Record

Proposal at NCAA Cross Country Championships or Winning NCAA Cross Country Team Title

Joe Franklins (Coach of UNM) Favorite Athlete: Josh Kerr or Courtney Frerichs

Enjoy!
