Hamish Kerr is New Zealand’s greatest ever high jumper.

Last year he became the first ever NZ man to make it to the high jump finals at the Olympics, leaving Tokyo with a top 10 finish

And a few months ago, he won a commonwealth games gold with a jump of two metres and 25cm- probably about the height of your ceiling.

In this conversation we learn alot about high jumping.  We also chat about his terrible anxiety before the Olympics which came on after he went to a meet in Australia and “no heighted” (this means he failed all 3 of his jumps at the starting height (you learn something new every day!)  Its not all high jumping and running though.  As we do in every episode, we get to know much much more about the guy behind the gold medal and black singlet.

    Really hope ya like it.
