PM threshold session Brooks Launch 11

First run in the Brooks Launch 11. I haven’t reviewed this shoes since the before times, but there were a couple reasons why I specifically asked Brooks to send me a pair of these to review. First, there have been a couple of Brooks athletes I’ve interviewed lately who have told me that the Launch is a somewhat regular shoe in their rotation. And second, with the drastic changes to the Hyperion 3, I had a working theory that Brooks may be shifting the Launch 11 from a budget option to a shoe that continues the legacy of the Hyperion Tempo. And I was mostly right. I was thinking that this shoe would basically be a rebadged Hyperion 2, and the DNA Flash that’s in here is very responsive for speedwork. But, the Foam feels taller and a bit softer than what’s in the Hyperion 2. It’s not quite as soft as the Hyperion 3; it’s more of a Hyperion 2.5. People who do not like the new Hyperion 3 or Hyperion Max 3 should definitely start paying attention to the Launch (especially since it’s still at the same budget pricing) .
