Saucony took the shoe I ranked as best racing shoe of 2023 and decided to completely change the midsole foam. Instead of PWRRUN Hg, we’ve now got the even sillier trade name of IncrediRUN. It’s so much softer, which sounds nice. But after my first workout in the shoe, it feels like perhaps too much of a trade for comfort at the expense of speed. It may be an efficient marathon racer, but it doesn’t feel powerful. . Further testing: I’d like to do a longer progression run to see if it’s not too soft for marathon effort work.
