Recent research suggests that the Puma Fast-R3 is now the most efficient carbon race shoe going with significant running economy benefits over all the big rivals. We got to test that for ourselves at Puma HQ a month back. But it’s one thing testing shoes on a treadmill, it’s another pushing them in the wild, in the heat of the race. To find out if the performance matches the science, Run Testers Kieran and Nick went chasing PBs at the London Marathon 2025. While we were at it, we put the Apple Watch Ultra 2 up against the Garmin Fenix 8 and tested the JLAB Flex Open headphones against the London Marathon crowds.
