    EP 173. Regan Yee

    September 23, 2023

It’s another chat with my favourite coconut bun loving steeplechaser, Regan Yee! Since we last talked, she’s earned two National titles in the 3000m Steeplechase, taken two trips to Worlds, a trip to NACAC, and even run a Diamond League in Eugene. Oh, did I forget to mention she went to the Olympics? Silly me. Now based in Flagstaff, Arizona and running with Under Armour’s elite training team Mission Run Dark Sky Distance, Regan is getting more comfortable declaring big goals out loud and having the guts and the talent to go for it.

Regan Yee prepares for a busy couple of weeks of racing with this event-specific workout. Regan goes over hurdles for the latter part of the workout to prepare for her main event, the 3000m steeple chase. Regan competed in the steeple chase at the Olympics last year for the first time and is looking towards the World Championships in Eugene. The workout: 4x1600m, 2x800m, with the last 2 1600m reps and the 800m reps over hurdles. -- -- -- Regan's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/reganyee/ Sweat Elite Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sweatelite/ Liam Riley (Sweat Elite videographer) Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/liampatrickriley/ - -- -- Timecodes: 00:42 - Intro, Warm Up, 05:02 - The Workout (10x1km) 10:13 - Post workout Chat -- -- -- Members support our video production and it only costs as much as a Big Mac each month. EP 57. Regan Yee

    January 7, 2021

Regan Yee is definitely an athlete to watch in 2021. From the tiny town of Hazelton, BC, Regan is a middle distance and steeplechase runner who balances a strong competitive streak with a view of running as play. I chat with Regan about why a smaller university was the right fit for her, how missing out on the Olympic team in 2016 made her a more confident runner, and how her work with Thinx extends her reach as an amazing role model.
