CHAMPS CHATS ON THE CITIUS MAG PODCAST DAILY: The CITIUS MAG team of Chris, Kyle, David McCarthy, Jasmine Todd and Katelyn Hutchison will unpack all of the day’s biggest surprises and offer up their insights and analysis from being at the new National Athletics Centre and interviewing athletes each day. MORNING RUNS: If you’re in Budapest, there will be two chances to catch some miles with the CITIUS MAG team in partnership with ASICS: one on Aug. 21 and another on Aug. 24. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is a Jamaican sprinter specializing in the 100 meters and is widely regarded as one of the greatest sprinters of all time. She has won multiple Olympic gold medals and World Championship titles, known for her explosive speed and consistency on the track.
Wayde van Niekerk is a South African track and field sprinter who competes in the 200 and 400 meters. He is the current world record holder in the 400 meters, having set a time of 43.03 seconds at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, where he won the gold medal. Van Niekerk has also earned medals at various World Championships, making him one of the most accomplished 400m runners in history.
Hellen Obiri is a renowned Kenyan middle-distance and long-distance runner known for her incredible performances in events ranging from the 1500 meters to half marathons. She is a multiple World Champion and Olympic medalist, particularly excelling in the 5000 meters and cross country competitions. Obiri's athletic prowess has made her one of the most formidable competitors on the global stage.
Jasmine Todd is an accomplished American track and field athlete specializing in sprints and long jump. She gained prominence competing for the University of Oregon, where she earned numerous accolades including multiple All-American honors. Todd has represented the United States in international competitions and continues to be a formidable presence on the track.
Shericka Jackson is a Jamaican sprinter specializing in the 100m, 200m, and 400m events. She is an Olympic and World Championship medalist, known for her explosive speed and versatility across multiple sprinting distances. Jackson has consistently been a key member of Jamaica's relay teams, contributing to their global success.
